Daiwa Super, a grocer in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, known for its fruit sandwich store “Daiwa Nakameguro,” which draws lines of customers, selects the fruit that plays the leading role at the market every morning. Some of the fruits are sent directly from the farmers, and the sandwiches using seasonal fruits are offered at reasonable prices. In consideration of food loss, we use whole fruits as much as possible, and also offer sandwiches that make use of uneven parts such as the edges.
